"Coach Luca is awesome.  I will never be a small person, but have always struggled with my weight. I have tracked Macros in the past but have never been able to sustain habits because of hunger etc.  First few weeks with him I kind of fell back into those “old” cutting habits.  Luca gently but firmly suggested changes and pointed out things that would likely have caused me to not be able to sustain long term again.  Now it is like night and day.  Hunger is basically never an issue, when we were on our maintenance break some days I had to go out of my way to find more food to eat.  I don’t want to say it’s easy, change never is. But with the setup she has helped me find for myself, it now feels easy.  More importantly it is easily sustainable for the long term."

That looks a lot different to everyone, but for me it means making my health #1, establishing a good relationship with food, maintaining better sleep habits, getting in daily movement, prioritizing injury rehab and prevention, and not eating like an a**hole 🤪.

Deciding to work with Luca was the start I needed and has been invaluable, to say the least. I sustained an injury at the end of last year, but the guidance and encouragement I received was exactly what I needed to help me through not being able to work out like I wanted. In 12 weeks I lost weight, I lost inches, I lost body fat, and I gained so much knowledge!

“When I first considered signing up, I was very hesitant. I was in denial over my diet and thought that just because I made sure to eat enough protein that everything else would fall into place. I didn't worry about micronutrients, and I was afraid of being told immediately and in a not nice way that I needed to eat a vegetable once in a while. Signing up was one of the greatest things I have ever done for myself. I was only with Luca for three months (I so don't want to goooo) but in that time I learned to live without revolving around protein shakes and bars. I started eating real foods. “When I first joined, I didn't know what to expect. Prior to working with Luca, my experience in the fit-world was comprised of bad coaching, cookie cutter meal plans, feeling down about not being perfect every single week, a disappointed coach whenever I'd "cheat", etc. Since I had tried everything in the book, I figured I'd give it a shot.

I was quickly matched with Luca and received the warmest welcome message. I knew that this was going to be a good thing for me. The belief in Black Iron Nutrition (and myself) really came not at my successes, but at my failures. When I was completely honest (because you had to be, otherwise you're the only one that loses) with Luca about not being able to have a "perfect" week  or "cheating" on my macros (we don't use that word anymore, and soon you won't either), I was met with such understanding and patience. Luca coached me to not only eat better, but to treat myself better. This was far different from any of my previous coaches, so you can imagine my shock! Luca gave me the space to learn on my own and figure out what worked best for me, while guiding me in the right direction. He gave me macros that really worked for me and even adjusted them to fit my busy schedule. With his advice and coaching, I was able to drop body fat (I have the DXA scans to prove it!) and raise my self-esteem.

It's not a get-fit-quick scheme, substitute for therapy, or easy way to meet your goals. This is a tag-team effort to getting you to reach your goals in a HEALTHY and sustainable way. What you put into your relationship with your macro coach, your diet, and your fitness is what you get out of it. But Luca will make you feel empowered to grab your fitness by the horns and push for more. There are so many coaches out there, but very few come close to having the patience, understanding, and drive like Luca. I am so grateful for the lessons that I've learned through my coaching with Luca and will always call Black Iron Nutrition my home."
